Some basics you should know before you hold a contest.

:greenprobe: Contests aren't made to be popular, forget that;

:greenprobe: Contests are made to stimulate creativity, discover other's art, experiencing new technics, getting inspired, and well winning something...

:greenprobe: First find a theme for your contest, and with this theme gives it a title, it's important for deviants to know what you're talking about and to click the link to your contest!

:greenprobe: Specify the categories (media/galleries) allowed;

:greenprobe: Set the Deadline (giving a deadline is HIGHLY adviced);

:greenprobe: Make a journal entry (i advice you to ALWAYS have a link in your frontpage journal to your contest journal entry and to never delete the contest journal entry);

:greenprobe: Make clear rules in your journal/news article;

:greenprobe: Give any informations you think are necessary (such as copyrights, credits), make a lil intro for your contest theme, ...

:greenprobe: Ask deviants you know to be judge(s) if you need them;

:greenprobe: Call for prizes if you need (DON'T SPAM!);

:greenprobe: Make a stamp and journal CSS, if you can't you can ask a deviant you know to make one;

:greenprobe: When all this is completed make a news article & an announcement in the Contests Forum!

:greenprobe: For other promotion purposes you can add a link to your contest in your signature.

:greenprobe: Then collect the entries in your contest journal (if you have many entries i advice you to use the collection tool in your favorites folder) - deviants should send the entries via notes);

:greenprobe: Don't forget to announce the results, give the prizes...

:greenprobe: If you're unsure of what to do then browse the journals of some contests holders and you'll get ideas and directions ;-)

What i need for my new Home! ;p

As you know i've recently moved, i've now a house with EMPTY white walls!

I have made color schemes for my rooms.
the Kitchen is white and red. Then i need for the Kitchen red art!
My dining room is White & Black. Then i need for the dining room black art!
My corridor is pale pink and my bedroom violet/purple with gold touches!

I'd love to have the prints in Fine Art Prints, canvas or BIG photo prints to get framed, because i can't stick anything on the walls, so small photo prints will not fit ;p
